Boxing Legend Amir Khan Awarded Honorary Rank of Pakistan Army Captain

 



Renowned boxer Amir Khan received the honorary rank of Pakistan Army Captain during a special event organized by the Pakistan Army. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the sport of boxing, Khan was celebrated for his achievements during the ceremony.


Expressing gratitude, Khan highlighted the talent among Pakistan's youth and pledged to establish more boxing academies in the country. He encouraged participation in sports, expressing hope for future global victories.


Khan expressed immense honor wearing the army uniform, likening the feeling to being crowned a World Champion in Boxing. He thanked the Pakistan Army for promoting sports and appreciated Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir's support.


Offering advice to aspiring athletes, Khan emphasized focus, confidence, and hard work. With a professional record of 34-6, including two super-lightweight world-title victories, Khan has retired from professional boxing.


At 17, Khan won a silver medal at the 2004 Olympics. He spent time with soldiers' post-ceremony, fostering camaraderie and appreciation. Earlier, Gen Munir met with Khan and MMA champion Shahzaib Rind, lauding their achievements and encouraging Pakistan's youth to excel.
