DALLAS, June 2, 2024** – Aaron Jones showcased a stellar performance, scoring 94 runs to lead the USA to a commanding victory against Canada in the opening match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at Grand Prairie Stadium on Saturday.

The home team's chase began with an early setback when Steven Taylor was dismissed by Kaleem Sana on the second ball of the innings. Skipper Monank Patel (16) and Andries Gous then added 42 runs for the second wicket before Patel was caught behind off Dilon Heyliger.

After Gous’s dismissal, Jones continued his aggressive batting, finishing the match in the 18th over with a massive six over deep midwicket. His explosive innings included ten sixes and four boundaries, culminating in an unbeaten 94 from just 40 balls.

Canada’s bowlers Kaleem Sana, Dilon Heyliger, and Nikhil Dutta each took one wicket, but they couldn't contain the USA’s powerful batting lineup.
