Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made an unannounced day-long visit to Karachi today to oversee port operations and engage with key figures in the business community, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).


During his visit, the Prime Minister received detailed briefings on the operations of Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Port Qasim Authority (PQA), and Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC). 


The focus of this visit was to enhance the efficiency of these critical port authorities.Additionally, PM Shehbaz met with a delegation of business leaders from the export and import sectors to discuss reforms aimed at boosting national revenue and supporting the business community.His inspection of Karachi 


Port operations aimed to identify areas for improvement and make decisions to enhance operational effectiveness and facilitate business growth. 


Throughout the day, he was updated on strategies to increase national revenue and implement reforms in the export-import sector, with significant decisions expected to result from this visit.
